BARROW, ALASKA
Glacial temperatures and endless expanses of snow help to frame the life of our next tester. We’re in Barrow (Utqiagvik in the local language), at the northern tip of Alaska, where Eiben, an Iñupiat native and a polar bear guardian, lives. A fascinating and decidedly unique profession. “Here in the far north the temperatures can drop to -70° F.” We follow him with excitement and curiosity until we see one of these extraordinary animals.
